Sometimes we all find ourselves just plugging along to get through the day, the week, the season. We begin to live passively and stop questioning the “why” in our lives. We forget to be intentional.
Thinking about what we want to do in the long run can help us be mindful about what we’re doing in the present. Our goals determine how we are using our time and energy. Living intentionally can empower us and bring meaning to the life we have.
A helpful way to start is by imagining what -your- version of a happy, healthy life would look like. This can look different for everyone so it’s important to ask some key questions. What would make your life feel meaningful? What are your goals? What matters most to you? What choices are you currently making?
Do things on purpose.
Consider how you’re spending energy on yourself, relationships, home, and work.
Does this bring me in the right direction? Does this serve what I’m trying to accomplish? Does this bring me joy? If the answer is no, it may be time to let go.
Life is too short to live on autopilot and do things “just because.” We can’t control everything, but there’s power in the choices that we can make.
